Cranes and heavy construction equipment are needed for construction sites, yet the size and weight of these machines needed for heavy lifting makes it difficult to get to certain areas without causing environmental impact.
The Mat Rental Company’s crane and construction mats provide a solution to this problem by serving as temporary road access, pathways and pads for heavy crane equipment to safely access sensitive terrain such as wetlands and loose soil. In addition, we provide equipment with operators to set up, disassemble, and load out the mats from your project. We also prepare job sites to accept mats.

Laminated mats
Laminated mats are used for temporary access roads, decks, work platforms, trucks and rubber tired equipment. They are usually used for lighter load demands and because they are lightweight, they are easily transported.
Our laminated mats are 16’x8’x6″.
Timberlite Mats
Lightweight access mats ideal for powerline, pipeline, and all other light infrastructure contractors for staging areas.
Transition Mats
Our transition mats are safe and allow heavy machinery the ability to drive up to a matting platform or worksite with ease.
Composite Mats
The composite mats are new to our inventory and offer different options.
They are lighter in weight and easily transported and thus, cost efficient. Some benefits include: 100% recyclable, controls spreading of weeds and unwanted growth, eliminates runoff, protects soil and vegetation, neater and cleaner than using gravel roads. This type of mat is used as a heavy duty road mat for temporary roadways and work areas for heavy equipment with a weight load of up to 330,000 pounds.
The Mat Rental Company uses Durabase and TuffTrak XL composite mats. The chevron traction surface provides the ultimate grip and reduces sideways slippage. It is the market’s leading solid compression molded mat that is chemically inert and ideal for eco sensitive sites. It’s solid design eliminates puncture avoiding invasive species or cross contamination, and they are flexible for easy installation. In addition, they are non-conductive making them ideal for use on transmission projects.
